2D RTS/Sim Game

@esotericgames

Pump N Dump (Tentative Working Name) is a simulation/management game that aims to model the behaviors of boiler rooms, a common type of financial fraud scheme that involves artificially driving up the price of an asset that a group of insiders owns. Once insiders are able to sell, the price will be allowed to collapse, resulting in near total losses for investors. The most famous of these shops was Stratton Oakmont which is the basis for the movie, The Wolf of Wallstreet.

While this type of scheme is particularly common in Cryptocurrency, this game aims to model the type of boiler room that was common in the 1990s. The largest concentration of boiler rooms could be found in Long Island, New York. However, for the purpose of the game, I intend to also use motifs from New York City and Miami.
